When we think of the word “sexy” obviously the first thing that comes to mind are good, good, good, and more good looks!
Turns out the Desi scene is filled with a lot of sexy men, both inside and out!
With endless hours of dedication to finding the sexiest men out there…
Today we present to you the SEXIEST MEN OF 2008!!
We thought long and hard of who deserves the title in 11 different categories and finally came out with the best of the best.
These men are both sexy with their talents and sexy with their brains…
…and now how to keep a woman’s attention!
So take a look and ladies…hold your breath!
But who am I kidding…I know almost all these boys so I think I should consider myself the lucky one 
Sexiest News Correspondent – HARI SREENIVASAN
Hari Sreenivasan works for CBS News as a correspondent based in the Dallas bureau. He was a co-anchor of ABC’s “World News Now” and “America This Morning” since August and has reported for “World News Tonight” and “Nightline.” So the sexiest thing about Hari?! The fact that he is brave enough to cover stories including hotel bombings in Amman, Jordan, and the devastation of Hurricane Katrina.
Sexiest Business Men – KUNAL SHAH & VINODA BASNAYAKE
Kunal & Vinoda (who are really, really hot as you can tell) are the Founders of Blazin-Beats Entertainment, which has grown to be the largest South Asian entertainment company in the US. Their company represents some of the top South Asian entertainers today such as Russell Peters, Jay Sean, Thara, and many more! In addition to that, the company has also launched marketing campaigns for many events such as Bhangra Blowout to the Bollywood Awards. So what’s the sexiest thing about Kunal & Vinoda…it’s obviously the way they can seal any deal with big name companies such as BET, MTV, and The Borgata! And did I mention they also OWN a club! I think I know who to party with in D.C.!
Sexiest Singer – JAY SEAN
With a great voice and looks that could kill, there’s no doubt in my mind that Jay Sean tops our list for the sexiest singer of 2007. His sultry track “Ride It” just goes to show how sexy this British boy truly is! In the past few years, Jay has created quite the stir – touring internationally, releasing one hit track after the other, and also launching his own production company called Jayded. He’s the type of artist who can combine quality song-writing skills with impeccable vocals!
Sexiest DJ – BABA KHAN
He’s one of the most talked about, admired, and respected DJs in the South Asian scene. Not only does he have great looks to go with his exuberant personality, but he’s also won various awards, and has spun at venues on an international level. His album “Culture Shock” has created international waves, especially with the smash-hit single “Tonight” featuring mainstream artists such as Fatman Scoop and Kardinal Official! I can sit here and talk about him all day, but I’ll just say this: ladies, he’s hot!
Sexiest Music Producer – RAJ MAKHIJA
Do I need to even talk about his credentials?! Just look at him…100% pure sexiness! He pursued Audio Engineering at SAE Institute and learned like any other accomplished engineer, by shadowing the best through internships. He climbed his way to becoming a well-respected freelance engineer in the tri-state area, working at the biggest studios (Quad Studios, Sony Studios, The Hit Factory, Legacy, etc.) and with some of the biggest names around (Missy Elliott, Chamillionaire, Musiq Soulchild, Eddie Gomez, & many more). He then decided he had a bigger calling and formed Soul Tap Records! Sexy time!
Sexiest Rapper – NIVLA
What is sexier than a South Asian rapper who’s got a record deal with Interscope Records? Nothing…that’s what I thought. NYC-rapper Nivla has paved the path for all those seeking to break into the mainstream Hip-Hop music industry. Nivla became internationally known as he became the first South Asian rapper to land a major record deal with Interscope Records! He’s also had his song used for a NIKE commercial and is the first South Asian rapper to work with a mainstream producer, Just Blaze. That my friends, IS sexy!
Sexiest Actor – KAL PENN
Kal Penn is one of the first and few cross-over actors to enter the mainstream film scene from the South Asian community. He’s known for his lead roles in National Lampoon’s Van Wilder, Harold & Kumar Go to White Castle, The Namesake, the recently released Harold & Kumar Escape From Guantanamo Bay, and can currently be seen playing ‘Dr. Kutner’ on the hit-TV show, “House”. What makes him sexy is that he’s not afraid to stand up and voice his opinion for what he believes in. And believe it or not ladies, word on the street is that he’s still single!
Sexiest Chef – SUVIR SARAN
Saran is one of the co-executive chefs of Dévi, the 75-seat upscale restaurant in New York City, which he’s co-owned since October 2007. When Saran isn’t out helping to make a world filled with better cooks, he loves to spend time at his 68-acre American Masala Farm in upstate New York. Ladies, it’s out in the open now – book your tickets to New York and maybe you might snag some secret cooking tips! The sexiest thing about him…his dishes are mouthwatering and leave you wanting more! Which girl wouldn’t want a guy that can feed her love 24/7?!
Sexiest Model – CHAITANYA CHOUDHURY
Indian TV actor, Chaitanya Choudhury, is one of the fastest growing heartthrobs for girls not just in India, but across the world! The sexiest thing about Chaitanya is that he is a perfect combo of talent and brains – having attained his MBA degree too! He has been seen in several roles in serials such as “Kaahin Toh Hoga”, “Kyunki Saans Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi”, and has also acted in Ekta Kapoor’s show, “Kavyanjali”. Presently acting on a Star Plus serial “Sangam”!
Sexiest Athlete – MANNY MALHOTRA
Emmanuel Noveen Malhotra is the second NHL player and first centre of South Asian decent to play professional ice hockey. Currently, he plays for the Columbus Blue Jackets. In 1998, he was drafted in the 1st round as the 7th overall pick by the New York Rangers. Though he’s got the sexy looks and slick moves on the ice, ladies, I hate to break it to you, but Malhotra is happily married to Joann Nash. I still remember my first Rangers game when I had my “Manny is Hot” poster and he gave me a puck during practice! * sigh *
Sexiest Comedian – RUSSELL PETERS
Can you name one South Asian person who’s been featured on MTV Cribs? No? Try Canada’s most talked about comedian, Russell Peters. He’s had performances at London’s Shaw Theatre which were completely sold out in 48 hours; when his first shows in Sydney and Melbourne were announced, 10,000 tickets were gone in less than two days – with zero advertising! In February (2008), Peters joined the list of a very few and elite comedians to ever headline and sell-out the world famous Madison Square Garden in New York City. Can we say we’ve got a super-star in the house! He’s got the skills to make a girl laugh day or night – what can get sexier than that?!
