MusicThe Loss of a Legend

Today is a day in which everyone will remember forever, as one of the great musicians, not only in the US, but on an international level, has left us.
Born on August 25, 1958, Michael Jackson was an internationally recognized recording artist and entertainer. He was the seventh child of the Jackson family; he began his singing career at the tender age of 11, when he was a member of The Jackson 5; his solo career as a singer began in 1971. He’s been known as the ‘King of Pop,’ shoes that nobody has been able to fill since he entered the industry and his albums are some of the world’s best-selling records, such as Thriller (1982), Bad (1987), and Dangerous (1991).
Though there was much gossip and drama surrounding the Jackson name, he still remains a legend to anyone who’s a music enthusiast. Today, June 25, 2009, will go down as a say in history as we remember a great man and a great person.
This afternoon, Jackson was pronounced dead at 2:26 PM by UCLA Medical Center. He was taken to the hospital after suffering cardiac arrest. Sources state that Jackson was unresponsive when he arrived at the hospital.
The Jackson family attorney, Brian Oxman, started to the press that he was informed by brother Randy Jackson that Jackson collapsed at his home in west Los Angeles, during the morning.
Michael Jackson was, and will always remain as a musical icon and a symbol of what is to come in the music industry with pure passion & determination.
