Rocket Singh tells the story of a simple man with traditional values, but because he’s not too smart, school that is, he’s having a hard time getting a job like his good friend who is going into the MBA program. With that said, I went to see “Rocket Singh: Salesman of the Year” it on Saturday. Rocket Singh (Ranbir Kapoor) is the new guy in a salesman’s world. He is super stressed when he realizes that he doesn’t seem to know how to deal with the unrealistic goals set by his boss. He comes across a client who blatantly expects a bribe and Rocket must tackle his ideologies. When Rocket doesn’t offer the bribe and tells the client that he’s wrong, Rocket leaves and sees a complaint box and proceeds to place his complaints there. What happens next is what causes Rocket to eventually seeks assistance from some of his fellow co-workers.

I enjoyed this movie and I think the characters are great. Most of the dialogue is very witty and some of it is cut-throat. You can’t go into this movie thinking of Ranbir as being sexy, as he played in Bacha Ae Haseeno or Saawariya. It’s not the most powerful performance but I think overall, with the storyline and script, he gives a memorable performance.

I really liked the chemistry between D. Santosh, who plays the PC assembler and Ranbir. D. Santosh has some of the most funniest lines in the movie. I particularly like the scene with Koena (Gauhar Khan as the receptionist) who is really upset that they are going to be found out (since they started their own company within the company) and she keeps saying, “I knew something like this was going to happen,” Mr. PC…

Rakhi Sawant is one of the most sought after ‘item girls’ in the Bollywood industry and has lately captured the eyes of Hip-Hopper, IshQ Bector.

Sawant said that she was tired with the type of work she was doing and look who decided to be her fairy godfather, IshQ! India’s mad-max music import from Canada, decided to grant her wish as he re-introduces the item pathaka in the title track of his forthcoming album, Jhagde. The exposure will surely be good for Rakhi!

IshQ said, “The spunky brand [Rakhi], known for her bold and brazen personality with high mass appeal, will now be seen in a completely classy,up-market trendy look and style.” His team later went onto say that Rakhi’s new look will show her in a really short crop, jazzy tops and hot-pants to compliment them.

“We’re taking her cattiness to the next level,” stared IshQ. And when IshQ says something, he means it. We’ve all seen how his videos have been…if anyone remember his hit video track Aye Hip Hopper, then we’re on the same page!

In this new video, Rakhi will be seen in a freestyle boxing match against IshQ. I wonder who will win…though I have a feeling Rakhi will kick IshQ’s butt

We already know that Bollywood baadshah, Akshay Kumar, is an international super-star!

Everyone across teh globe loves him! So it comes to know surprise that after working with the biggest production houses in Bollywood, that Kumar would soon be making his way towards Hollywood! And we’ve got an inside scoop! Word on the street is that director David Ellis (The Final Destination) is really interested in working with Kumar after seeing portions of his latest film, Blue.

Ellis was able to see some clips of the film while his friend, Blue director Anthony D’Souzam was doing the final mixing of the film in Los Angeles. An insider told the press, “David was highly impressed when he saw some portions of Blue. He was of the opinion that such stunts could not be possible in movies outside Hollywood. He simply loved Akshay’s work and truly believes that Akshay has huge potential to make it big in the West.”

It’s not 100% true if the reports are right, but it they are, then the lovely Karishma Kapoor will be having a second child soon! Karishma is married to Delhi businessman Sanjay Kumar and has a daughter Samaira,4, with him.

A source of the Kapoor family did tell the press that Karishma, “is now in her first trimester. This is the happiest phase in her life. Samaira is growing up, her marriage, which ran into troubled waters a few years back, is in a happy place now and she is also keeping herself busy with endorsements. Sanjay and she feel that it was a good time to have another baby.”

A friend of Lolo’s also said that, “Bebo loves children and dotes on her niece Samaira. She organises her birthday parties and always picks up gifts for her from abroad. She is also very close to her sister and can`t wait to hold Lolo`s second baby in her arms.”

But neither Karishma or Kareena are confirming this “happy news!” Their faither, Randhir Kapoor was delighted to hear the news, he said to the press, “I have no idea if Lolo is expecting or not. No one has told me as yet. I would be very happy if she is expecting.”

Well, if all is true, we extend our congrats to the Kapoor/Kumar family!

Sonom Kapoor is one actress who loves to “be involved.” Since the release of ‘Delhi 6,’ she’s managed to grab three leading brand endorsements. After being the face of an international skincare brand, and an luxury pen endorsement with her father Anil Kapoor, she has just finished shooting for an ad for diamond jewellery. Sonam is endorsing for the line of diamonds (solitaires). She had just finished shooting the print ad with ace ad photographer Prabhudu and will be shooting for the commercial in the first week of September. Monteiro plays the role of Rishi Kapoor’s love interest (during the flashbacks) – Hareleen Kaur. Yes, I said Monteiro plays Kaur’s character. And yes, Monteiro is a Brazilian actress!

Monteiro is a Brazilian-born model and Bollywood actor – talk about having the best of both worlds! As you know, she made her Bollywood debut in the film Love Aaj Kal, which was directed by Imtiaz Ali. In India, she is represented by Inega Model Management.

Bollywood has always been known for their original movies, but the one thing I’ve always noticed is that Bollywood loves to re-do Hollywood movies! I’m not even sure where to begin on this one…I think the first thing we need to look at is a very “detailed” list of hit Bollywood movies and their original Hollywood source. Remember, the plot & story line is always the same, just throw in a few dance sequces and call it a night!

Bollywood’s item girl, who recently has not been appearing much in the news, has decided to come out with her very own television show titled “Rakhi Ka Swayamvar”. When translated, the title of the show means that one person chooses their “jeevan saathi” or life partner from a large group. This has been a very old tradition amongst Kings and Queens in India. This show is more of a competition; thousands of men are competing for the said girl’s hand in marriage.

Perhaps the most disturbing and equally surprising point about this entire concept is the fact that Rakhi, who made such a fuss over a kiss from the talented singer Mika Singh, is ready to tie down the knot with any man who manages to ‘win’ her over; and that too over live television for the entire world to see. Talk about a sense of privacy.
