As if you didn’t already know, the new trend in Bollywood is to build a great physique, but there’s a catch! It has to be done in your early 40’s! Well, there are some exceptions, but the two contesting Khans, Shah Rukh and Aamir, “strongly” believe in buffing up at age 43. We first saw SRK’s lean six-pack abs and chiseled chest in Om Shanti Om last year, and now we’ll be seeing Aamir Khan’s meaty eight-pack, chest, and biceps this Christmas in Ghajini! Yep, you heard right, Aamir Khan will officially be the Arnold Schwarzenegger of Bollywood after this film releases! And we always thought that Aamir was the trend-setter…boy were we wrong! His idea of building a body for his new role was very much following the current trend in B-town.

It wasn’t the director’s decision to go along with this. It was none other than Aamir Khan himself who insisted that he should buff up for his character in Ghajini. He claims that the body “enhances the way you feel about the character when he looks a particular way.” After seeing that first poster of Aamir in this movie a few weeks ago, my initial reaction was, “Dayumm…how’d he do that?!” And I’m sure I wasn’t alone in thinking that. He surprised not only his fans, but also his co-stars. He kept mum about his new look to everyone in the industry and to the media, of course. No one saw THIS coming! It is a very pleasant surprise, I must say.

So how exactly did he do it? Well, a lot of time, hard work, and dedication, for sure. Aamir was also on a very strict diet (of both food and liquid intake) and sleep schedule. He did…
