It was back in 1998 when Universal Records announced that Jean Riggins and Cash Money founders Bryan Baby Williams and Ronald Godfather Williams would provide distribution, marketing and promotion support for Cash Money artists, including the initial releases of Big Tymers, B.G., Juvenile and Lil’ Wayne.

Cash Money Records was founded in 1991 by the Williams brothers, who have successfully turned the upstart label into a creative force within the independent marketplace. Rounding out Cash Money’s roster are the Hot Boys and producer Manny Fresh, among others.

Ten years later, Cash Money Records, has brought forth some of the hottest talent in today’s Hip-Hop industry and now they have crossed international borders by signing UK R&B sensation Jay Sean to their label. Jay Sean has recently returned from the US where he has been recording material at the world famous Hit Factory. Having recently signed a deal with US based label, Cash Money Records. In a brief interview Jay said, “Its been crazy!! I’ve been working hard on new material in Miami for the US version of my album (My Own Way) as well as the Deluxe Edition of my UK album that’s due out early next year. I literally haven’t stopped! Go check the new video, and I hope you guys love it. I only just saw the finished edit myself recently and its sick!!”
